Aleph I will extol thee, my God, my king, and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

² Beth Each day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

³ Gimel Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.

⁴ Daleth One generation shall praise thy works to another and shall declare thy mighty acts.

⁵ He I will speak of the beauty of the glory of thy majesty and of thy wondrous works.

⁶ Vau And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts, and I will declare thy greatness.

⁷ Zain They shall proclaim the memory of thy great goodness and shall sing of thy righteousness.

⁸ Cheth The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and of great mercy.

⁹ Teth The LORD is good to all; and his tender mercies shine over all his works.

¹¹ Caph They speak of the glory of thy kingdom and talk of thy power,

¹² Lamed to make known to the sons of Adam his mighty acts and the glory of the magnificence of his kingdom.

¹³ Mem Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all ages, and thy dominion endures throughout all generations.

¹⁴ Samech The LORD upholds all that fall and raises up all those that are oppressed.

¹⁵ Ain The eyes of all wait upon thee, and thou givest them their food in due season.

¹⁶ Pe Thou dost open thine hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

¹⁷ Tzaddi The LORD is righteous in all his ways and merciful in all his works.

⁴ (144-4) Род роду будет восхвалять дела Твои и возвещать о могуществе Твоем.

⁵ (144-5) А я буду размышлять о высокой славе величия Твоего и о дивных делах Твоих.

Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty,

² who dost cover thyself with light as with a garment, who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain,

³ who dost establish his chambers between the waters, who makes the clouds his chariot, who walks upon the wings of the wind,

⁴ who makes his angels spirits, his ministers a flaming fire,

⁵ who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved by any age.

⁶ Thou didst cover it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

⁷ At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

⁸ The mountains were exposed; they descended through the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.

⁹ Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over, that they not turn again to cover the earth.

¹⁰ ¶ Thou art he who sends the springs into the valleys, which run among the mountains.

¹¹ They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst.

¹² Next to them the fowls of the heavens have their habitation; they sing among the leaves.

¹³ He waters the mountains from his chambers; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

¹⁴ He causes the hay to grow for the cattle and grass for the service of man, that he may bring forth bread out of the earth

¹⁵ and wine that makes glad the heart of man, making his face to shine with oil and bread which sustains man’s heart.

¹⁶ The trees of the LORD are satisfied; the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted,

¹⁷ that the birds may make their nests there: the stork makes her house among the fir trees.

¹⁸ The high mountains are a refuge for the wild goats, and the rocks for the conies.

¹⁹ ¶ He appointed the moon for times and seasons; the sun knows his going down.

²⁰ Thou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest move.

²¹ The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God.

²² The sun arises, they withdraw and lay themselves down in their dens.

²³ Man goes forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

²⁴ O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom thou hast made them all; the earth is full of thy riches.

²⁵ So is this great and wide sea, wherein are innumerable creeping things, both small and great beasts.

²⁶ There go the ships; there is that leviathan, whom thou didst make to play therein.

²⁷ These wait all upon thee, that thou may give them their food in due season.

²⁸ Thou givest unto them, they gather; thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

²⁹ Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; thou takest away their spirit, they cease to exist and return to their dust.

³⁰ Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created; and thou renewest the face of the earth.

³¹ ¶ Let the glory of the LORD endure for ever; let the LORD rejoice in his works.

³² He looks on the earth, and it trembles: he touches the mountains, and they smoke.

³³ I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

³⁴ My meditation of him shall be sweet; I will be glad in the LORD.

² (103-2) Ты одеваешься светом, как ризою, простираешь небеса, как шатер;

³ (103-3) устрояешь над водами горние чертоги Твои, делаешь облака Твоею колесницею, шествуешь на крыльях ветра.

⁴ (103-4) Ты творишь ангелами Твоими духов, служителями Твоими--огонь пылающий.

⁵ (103-5) Ты поставил землю на твердых основах: не поколеблется она во веки и веки.

⁶ (103-6) Бездною, как одеянием, покрыл Ты ее, на горах стоят воды.

⁷ (103-7) От прещения Твоего бегут они, от гласа грома Твоего быстро уходят;

Hebrew Bible

Exodus 13:17-14:4 -- Jubilee Bible 2000

And it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go that God did not lead them through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt;

¹⁸ but God led the people round about through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea. And the sons of Israel went up armed out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁹ And Moses also took the bones of Joseph with him, who had made the sons of Israel swear, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away from here with you.

²⁰ And they took their journey from Succoth and encamped in Etham in the edge of the wilderness.

²¹ And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them in the way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light that they might walk by day and by night.

²² He never took away the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

14 ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

² Speak unto the sons of Israel that they turn and set up their camp before Pihahiroth between Migdol and the sea over against Baalzephon; before it shall ye set up camp by the sea.

³ For Pharaoh will say of the sons of Israel, They are entangled in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.

⁴ And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart that he shall follow after them; and I will be glorified in Pharaoh and in all his host; and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD. And they did so.

¹⁷ Когда фараон отпустил народ, Бог не повел их через землю филистимлян, хотя так было ближе. Бог сказал:

– Увидев войну, они могут передумать и вернуться в Египет.

¹⁸ Бог повел народ в обход, пустынной дорогой к Красному морю. Израильтяне ушли из Египта, вооруженные для битвы. ¹⁹ Моисей взял с собой останки Иосифа, потому что Иосиф в свое время взял с сыновей Израиля клятву, сказав:

– Бог непременно придет к вам на помощь. Возьмите тогда отсюда с собой мои останки.

²⁰ Оставив Суккот, они расположились лагерем в Етаме, на краю пустыни. ²¹ Днем Господь шел впереди них в облачном столбе, указывая им путь, а ночью – в огненном столбе, чтобы давать им свет, поэтому так они могли передвигаться и днем, и ночью.  

²² Ни облачный столб днем, ни огненный столб ночью ни разу не отошли от народа.

Переход через море

14 Господь сказал Моисею:

² – Скажи израильтянам, чтобы они повернули назад и остановились у Пи-Гахирота, между Мигдолом и морем. Пусть они расположатся у моря, прямо перед Баал-Цефоном. ³ Фараон подумает: «Израильтяне блуждают по этой земле в растерянности, окруженные пустыней». ⁴ Я сделаю сердце фараона упрямым, и он погонится за ними, и этим прославлюсь, победив фараона с его войском. Тогда египтяне узнают, что Я – Господь.

Израильтяне так и сделали.

2 Corinthians 4:16-5:10 -- Jubilee Bible 2000

¹⁶ Therefore we fault not; but though our outward man is wearing out, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

¹⁷ For our tribulation, which is momentary and light, prepares an exceeding and eternal weight of glory unto us;

¹⁸ while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

5  For we know that if the earthly house of this our habitation were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

² For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven,

³ if so be that we shall be found clothed and not naked.

⁴ For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened, for we do not desire to be unclothed, but to be clothed upon with life swallowing up that which is mortal.

⁵ Now he that has made us for this same thing is God, who has likewise given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

⁶ Therefore we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord

⁷ (for we walk by faith, not by sight).

⁸ We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

⁹ Therefore we also procure, whether present or absent, that we may please him.

¹⁰ For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive according to that which they have done in the body, good or evil.

¹⁶ Поэтому мы не унываем. Если даже мы изнашиваемся физически, то внутренне мы изо дня в день обновляемся, ¹⁷ так как наши легкие и временные страдания – ничто по сравнению с весомой и вечной славой, которую они нам приносят. ¹⁸ Мы смотрим не на видимое, а на невидимое, потому что видимое временно, а невидимое вечно.

5 Мы знаем, что когда наша земная палатка – наше тело – будет уничтожена, тогда на небе нас ждет вечный дом – духовное тело, созданное Богом, а не руками людей. ² Пока же мы находимся в этой палатке, мы стонем в ожидании того момента, когда облечемся в наше небесное жилище. ³ Облекшись же в него, мы не окажемся нагими^[a]. ⁴ Но пока мы еще находимся в нашей земной палатке и стонем; нам трудно, потому что мы не хотим избавиться от земного тела, но, тем не менее, хотим быть одеты в вечное, чтобы все смертное было поглощено жизнью. ⁵ Для того мы и созданы Богом, давшим нам Своего Духа как залог.

⁶ Поэтому мы всегда спокойны, даже зная, что пока мы находимся в своем земном теле, мы удалены от Господа; ⁷ ведь мы руководствуемся верой, а не тем, что мы видим. ⁸ Зная это, мы спокойны и хотели бы уже, покинув наши тела, поселиться у Господа. ⁹ Поэтому и цель наша – делать то, чего хочет от нас Господь, будь мы в теле^[b] или вне его. ¹⁰ Ведь всем нам предстоит явиться на суд Христа, и каждому будет дано по заслугам, за его добрые или злые дела, которые он совершал, находясь в земном теле.

Then come unto him the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,

¹⁹ Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man’s brother dies and leaves his wife behind him and leaves no children, that his brother should take his wife and raise up seed unto his brother.

²⁰ Now there were seven brethren, and the first took a wife and dying left no seed.

²¹ And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed; and the third likewise.

²² And the seven had her and left no seed; last of all the woman died also.

²³ In the resurrection, therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.

²⁴ Then Jesus, answering, said unto them, Do ye not therefore err because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

²⁵ For when they shall rise from the dead, neither shall they marry nor husbands take women nor women, husbands; but are as the angels who are in the heavens.

²⁶ And regarding the dead who are to rise, have ye not read in the book of Moses how in the bush God spoke unto him, saying, I Am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob?

²⁷ He is not God of the dead, but God of the living; ye therefore do greatly err.

Саддукеи задают Иисусу вопрос о воскресении мертвых

(Мат. 22:23-33; Лк. 20:27-40)

¹⁸ К Иисусу подошли саддукеи^[a], которые утверждают, что нет воскресения. Они спросили Его:

¹⁹ – Учитель! Моисей написал, что если женатый мужчина умрет, не оставив детей, то его брат должен жениться на вдове и восстановить сына^[b] своему брату^[c]. ²⁰ Было семеро братьев. Первый женился и умер, не оставив потомства. ²¹ На вдове женился его брат и тоже умер, не оставив потомства. То же самое произошло и с третьим.  
²² Никто из семерых не оставил после себя сына. После всех умерла и женщина. ²³ Чьей женой будет эта женщина после воскресения? Ведь все семеро были женаты на ней.

²⁴ Иисус ответил им:

– Не потому ли вы заблуждаетесь, что не знаете ни Писаний, ни Божьей силы? ²⁵ Воскресшие из мертвых не будут ни жениться, ни выходить замуж, а будут как ангелы на небесах. ²⁶ А о том, что мертвые воскресают, разве вы не читали в книге Моисея, в том месте, где говорится о кусте, как Бог сказал Моисею: «Я – Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова.»?^{[d] 27} Он Бог не мертвых, а живых. Вы глубоко заблуждаетесь.
