Psalm 103 – New International Version

Of David.

¹ Praise the Lord, my soul;
    all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
² Praise the Lord, my soul,
    and forget not all his benefits—
³ who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
⁴ who redeems your life from the pit
    and crowns you with love and compassion,
⁵ who satisfies your desires with good things
    so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

⁶ The Lord works righteousness
    and justice for all the oppressed.

⁷ He made known his ways to Moses,
    his deeds to the people of Israel:
⁸ The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
    slow to anger, abounding in love.
⁹ He will not always accuse,
    nor will he harbor his anger forever;
¹⁰ he does not treat us as our sins deserve
    or repay us according to our iniquities.
¹¹ For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;
¹² as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

¹³ As a father has compassion on his children,
    so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
¹⁴ for he knows how we are formed,
    he remembers that we are dust.
¹⁵ The life of mortals is like grass,
    they flourish like a flower of the field;
¹⁶ the wind blows over it and it is gone,
    and its place remembers it no more.
¹⁷ But from everlasting to everlasting
    the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
    and his righteousness with their children’s children—
¹⁸ with those who keep his covenant
    and remember to obey his precepts.

¹⁹ The Lord has established his throne in heaven,
    and his kingdom rules over all.

²⁰ Praise the Lord, you his angels,
    you mighty ones who do his bidding,
    who obey his word.
²¹ Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts,
    you his servants who do his will.
²² Praise the Lord, all his works
    everywhere in his dominion.

⁵ (102-5) насыщает благами желание твое: обновляется, подобно орлу, юность твоя.

Psalm 111 – New International Version

Praise the Lord.^[b]

I will extol the Lord with all my heart
    in the council of the upright and in the assembly.

² Great are the works of the Lord;
    they are pondered by all who delight in them.
³ Glorious and majestic are his deeds,
    and his righteousness endures forever.
⁴ He has caused his wonders to be remembered;
    the Lord is gracious and compassionate.
⁵ He provides food for those who fear him;
    he remembers his covenant forever.

⁶ He has shown his people the power of his works,
    giving them the lands of other nations.
⁷ The works of his hands are faithful and just;
    all his precepts are trustworthy.
⁸ They are established for ever and ever,
    enacted in faithfulness and uprightness.
⁹ He provided redemption for his people;
    he ordained his covenant forever—
    holy and awesome is his name.

¹⁰ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
    all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
    To him belongs eternal praise.

When Israel came out of Egypt,
    Jacob from a people of foreign tongue,
² Judah became God’s sanctuary,
    Israel his dominion.

³ The sea looked and fled,
    the Jordan turned back;
⁴ the mountains leaped like rams,
    the hills like lambs.

⁵ Why was it, sea, that you fled?
    Why, Jordan, did you turn back?
⁶ Why, mountains, did you leap like rams,
    you hills, like lambs?

⁷ Tremble, earth, at the presence of the Lord,
    at the presence of the God of Jacob,
⁸ who turned the rock into a pool,
    the hard rock into springs of water.

Exodus 12:28-39 – New International Version

 The Israelites did just what the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron.
²⁹ At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well. ³⁰ Pharaoh and all his officials and all the Egyptians got up during the night, and there was loud wailing in Egypt, for there was not a house without someone dead.

The Exodus

³¹ During the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Up! Leave my people, you and the Israelites! Go, worship the Lord as you have requested. ³² Take your flocks and herds, as you have said, and go. And also bless me.”

³³ The Egyptians urged the people to hurry and leave the country. “For otherwise,” they said, “we will all die!” ³⁴ So the people took their dough before the yeast was added, and carried it on their shoulders in kneading troughs wrapped in clothing. ³⁵ The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing.  

³⁶ The Lord had made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians.

³⁷ The Israelites journeyed from Rameses to Sukkoth. There were about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children. ³⁸ Many other people went up with them, and also large droves of livestock, both flocks and herds. ³⁹ With the dough the Israelites had brought from Egypt, they baked loaves of unleavened bread. The dough was without yeast because they had been driven out of Egypt and did not have time to prepare food for themselves.

– Иначе, – говорили они, – мы все умрем!

³⁴ Народ взял тесто, куда еще не положили закваску, и понес на плечах в посуде, завернутой в одежду. ³⁵ Израильтяне, как научил Моисей, попросили у египтян серебряные и золотые вещи и одежду. ³⁶ Господь расположил египтян к народу, и они дали им то, о чем их просили. Так они обобрали египтян. ³⁷ Израильтяне отправились из Раамсеса в Суккот. Их было около шестисот тысяч мужчин, не считая женщин и детей. Все они шли пешком. ³⁸ С ними ушло много разного народа и огромное количество мелкого и крупного скота. ³⁹ Из теста, вынесенного из Египта, они испекли пресные лепешки. Тесто было без закваски: их торопили уйти из Египта, и они не успели сделать припасы.

1 Corinthian 15:12-28 – New International Version

The Resurrection of the Dead

¹² But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? ¹³ If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. ¹⁴ And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. ¹⁵ More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. ¹⁶ For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. ¹⁷ And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. ¹⁸ Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. ¹⁹ If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.

²⁰ But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. ²¹ For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. ²² For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. ²³ But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. ²⁴ Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. ²⁵ For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. ²⁶ The last enemy to be destroyed is death. ²⁷ For he “has put everything under his feet.”^[a] Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. ²⁸ When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

¹² Скажите мне, если о Христе возвещается, что Он был воскрешен из мертвых, то как это некоторые из вас могут утверждать, что нет воскресения мертвых? ¹³ Если воскресения мертвых нет, то и Христос не был воскрешен. ¹⁴ А если Христос не воскрес, то и все, что мы возвещаем, не имеет смысла, равно как и ваша вера. ¹⁵ Мы сами в таком случае оказываемся лжесвидетелями о Боге, так как мы засвидетельствовали о том, что Бог воскресил Христа, Которого Он не воскрешал, если, конечно, мертвых вообще нельзя воскресить. ¹⁶ Ведь если мертвых нельзя воскресить, то и Христос не был воскрешен. ¹⁷ А если Христос не был воскрешен, то и вера ваша напрасна и ваши грехи по-прежнему на вас. ¹⁸ Тогда и те, кто умер в Христе, погибли. ¹⁹ Если мы надеемся на Христа лишь в этой жизни, то мы находимся в более жалком положении, чем все прочие люди.

²⁰ Но Христос действительно воскрес из мертвых! Он – первый плод среди тех, кто умер^[a]. ²¹ И как смерть пришла в этот мир через одного человека, так через одного Человека пришло и воскресение мертвых. ²² Как все умирают в Адаме, так все будут оживлены в Христе. ²³ Но каждый в своем порядке: вначале Христос, а потом, когда Он вернется, будем воскрешены и мы, принадлежащие Ему. ²⁴ И потом наступит конец, когда Он, уничтожив всякое начальство, всякую власть и силу, передаст Царство Богу Отцу. ²⁵ Христу предназначено царствовать до тех пор, пока Бог не повергнет всех врагов к Его ногам^[b]. ²⁶ Последний враг, который будет уничтожен, – это смерть. ²⁷ Ведь Бог «все подчинил под ноги Его»^[c]. Когда говорится, что «все подчинил», то, конечно же, это «все» не включает в себя Того, Кто и подчинил Ему все.  
²⁸ Когда же все будет Ему подчинено, тогда и Сам Сын будет подчинен Тому, Кто все подчинил Ему, чтобы Бог был все во всем.

Mark 6:9-20 – New International Version

 Wear sandals but not an extra shirt. ¹⁰ Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you leave that town. ¹¹ And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, leave that place and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

¹² They went out and preached that people should repent. ¹³ They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.

John the Baptist Beheaded

¹⁴ King Herod heard about this, for Jesus’ name had become well known. Some were saying,^[a] “John the Baptist has been raised from the dead, and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him.”

¹⁵ Others said, “He is Elijah.”

And still others claimed, “He is a prophet, like one of the prophets of long ago.”

¹⁶ But when Herod heard this, he said, “John, whom I beheaded, has been raised from the dead!”

¹⁷ For Herod himself had given orders to have John arrested, and he had him bound and put in prison. He did this because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, whom he had married. ¹⁸ For John had been saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.” ¹⁹ So Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him. But she was not able to, ²⁰ because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man. When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled^[b]; yet he liked to listen to him.

¹⁰ – В какой бы дом вы ни вошли, – говорил Он им, – оставайтесь там до тех пор, пока не покинете это место. ¹¹ А если где-либо вас не примут и не захотят слушать, то, уходя, отряхните пыль с ваших ног, пусть это будет свидетельством против них.

¹² Ученики отправились в путь и проповедовали людям, призывая их к покаянию.  

¹³ Они изгнали много демонов, и многих больных помазали оливковым маслом и исцелили.

Ирод убивает Иоанна Крестителя

¹⁴ Об Иисусе услышал царь Ирод, поскольку Имя Иисуса становилось все более известным, и некоторые говорили:

– Это Иоанн Креститель воскрес из мертвых, и поэтому в Нем действуют такие силы.

¹⁵ Другие говорили, что это Илия. А третьи утверждали, что Он пророк, подобный пророкам древности. ¹⁶ Услышав эти разговоры, Ирод решил:

¹⁹ Иродиада затаила злобу на Иоанна и хотела убить его. Однако она не могла ничего сделать, ²⁰ потому что Ирод боялся Иоанна, зная, что это справедливый и святой человек, и берег его. Слушая Иоанна, Ирод приходил в смущение, но тем не менее, ему нравилось его слушать.
