Psalm 118 -- Names of God Bible

Give thanks to Yahweh because he is good,
    because his mercy endures forever.
²         Israel should say,
            “His mercy endures forever.”
³         The descendants of Aaron should say,
            “His mercy endures forever.”
⁴         Those who fear Yahweh should say,
            “His mercy endures forever.”

⁵ During times of trouble I called on Yah.
    Yah answered me and set me free from all of them.
⁶ Yahweh is on my side.
    I am not afraid.
        What can mortals do to me?
⁷ Yahweh is on my side as my helper.
    I will see the defeat of those who hate me.
⁸ It is better to depend on Yahweh
    than to trust mortals.
⁹ It is better to depend on Yahweh
    than to trust influential people.

¹⁰ All the nations surrounded me,
    but armed with the name of Yahweh, I defeated them.
¹¹ They surrounded me. Yes, they surrounded me,
    but armed with the name of Yahweh, I defeated them.
¹² They swarmed around me like bees,
    but they were extinguished like burning thornbushes.
        So armed with the name of Yahweh, I defeated them.
¹³ They pushed hard to make me fall,
    but Yahweh helped me.
¹⁴ Yah is my strength and my song.
    He is my savior.

¹⁵ The sound of joyful singing and victory is heard
    in the tents of righteous people.
        The right hand of Yahweh displays strength.
¹⁶ The right hand of Yahweh is held high.
    The right hand of Yahweh displays strength.
¹⁷ I will not die,
    but I will live and tell what Yah has done.
¹⁸ Yah disciplined me severely,
    but he did not allow me to be killed.

¹⁹ Open the gates of righteousness for me.
    I will go through them and give thanks to Yah.
²⁰ This is the gate of Yahweh
    through which righteous people will enter.

²¹ I give thanks to you,
    because you have answered me.
        You are my savior.
²² The stone that the builders rejected
    has become the cornerstone.
²³ Yahweh is responsible for this,
    and it is amazing for us to see.
²⁴ This is the day Yahweh has made.
    Let’s rejoice and be glad today!
²⁵ We beg you, O Yahweh, save us!
    We beg you, O Yahweh, give us success!
²⁶ Blessed is the one who comes in the name of Yahweh.
    We bless you from Yahweh’s house.
²⁷ Yahweh is El, and he has given us light.
    March in a festival procession
        with branches to the horns of the altar.
²⁸ You are my El, and I give thanks to you.
    My Elohim, I honor you highly.

Hebrew Bible

Exodus 13:1-2, 11-16 -- Names of God Bible

Yahweh spoke to Moses, ² “Set apart every firstborn male for me. Every firstborn male offspring among the Israelites is mine, whether human or animal.”

³ Then Moses said to the people, “Remember this day—the day when you left Egypt, the land of slavery. Yahweh used his mighty hand to bring you out of there. Don’t eat anything made with yeast. ⁴ Today, in the month of Abib, you are leaving Egypt. ⁵ Yahweh swore to your ancestors that he would give you the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Hivites, and Jebusites. When he brings you into that land flowing with milk and honey, you must observe this ceremony in this month.

⁶ “For seven days you must eat unleavened bread. The seventh day will be a pilgrimage festival in Yahweh’s honor. ⁷ Only unleavened bread should be eaten during these seven days. No sourdough or yeast should be seen anywhere in your territory. ⁸ On that day tell your children, ‘We do this because of what Yahweh did for us when we left Egypt.’ ⁹ This festival will be like a mark on your hand or a reminder on your forehead that the teachings of Yahweh are always to be a part of your conversation. Because Yahweh used his mighty hand to bring you out of Egypt, ¹⁰ you must follow these rules every year at this time.

Rules Concerning the Firstborn Child

¹¹ “When Yahweh brings you to the land of the Canaanites and gives it to you, as he swore to you and your ancestors, ¹² sacrifice every firstborn male offspring to Yahweh. The firstborn male offspring of each of your animals belongs to Yahweh. ¹³ It will cost you a sheep or a goat to buy any firstborn donkey back from the Lord. If you don’t buy it back, then you must break the donkey’s neck. You must also buy every firstborn son back from the Lord.

 ¹⁴ “In the future when your children ask you what this means, tell them, ‘Yahweh used his mighty hand to bring us out of slavery in Egypt. ¹⁵ When Pharaoh was too stubborn to let us go, Yahweh killed every firstborn male in Egypt—human and animal. This is why we sacrifice every firstborn male to Yahweh and buy every firstborn son back from the Lord.’  

¹⁶ So this festival will be like a mark on your hand and like a band on your forehead, because Yahweh used his mighty hand to bring us out of Egypt.”

² – Посвяти Мне каждого первенца, каждого, открывающего чрево среди детей Израиля, от человека до скота.

Праздник Пресных хлебов

³ Моисей сказал народу:

– Помните день, когда вы вышли из Египта, из земли рабства, потому что Господь вывел вас оттуда крепкой рукой, и не ешьте дрожжевого хлеба. ⁴ Сегодня, в месяце авив, вы уходите. ⁵ Господь клялся вашим отцам, что отдаст вам землю хананеев, хеттов, аморреев, иевусеев и хивеев, землю, где течет молоко и мед. Когда Он приведет вас туда, соблюдайте в этом месяце такой обычай: ⁶ семь дней ешьте хлеб, приготовленный без закваски, а на седьмой день устраивайте праздник Господу.  

⁷ Семь дней ешьте пресный хлеб. У вас не должно быть ничего, приготовленного на закваске; в ваших землях не должно находиться никакой закваски. ⁸ В тот день пусть каждый скажет своему сыну: «Я поступаю так в память о том, что Господь сделал для меня, когда я вышел из Египта». ⁹ Этот обычай будет вам как знак на руке, как памятка на лбу о том, что Закон Господа должен быть у вас на устах. Ведь Господь вывел вас из Египта могучей рукой. ¹⁰ Соблюдайте этот обычай в назначенное время из года в год.

Правила о первенцах

¹¹ – После того, как Господь введет вас в землю хананеев и отдаст ее вам, как Он клялся вам и вашим отцам, ¹² посвящайте Господу всех первенцев. Все первенцы вашего скота мужского пола принадлежат Господу. ¹³ За первородного ослика принесите выкуп – ягненка, а если не выкупите, то сверните ослику шею. За всех своих первенцев отдавайте выкуп.

¹⁴ В будущем, когда сын спросит у тебя: «Что это значит?», – скажи ему: «Господь могучей рукой вывел нас из Египта, из земли рабства. ¹⁵ Когда сердцем фараона завладело упрямство, и он не хотел отпускать нас, Господь погубил в Египте всех первенцев мужского пола: и людей, и животных. Вот почему я приношу в жертву Господу всех первенцев мужского пола, а за своих первенцев отдаю выкуп». ¹⁶ Это будет как знак у тебя на руке, как свидетельство^[a] на лбу, что Господь могучей рукой вывел нас из Египта.

1 Corinthians 15:51-58 -- Names of God Bible

⁵¹ I’m telling you a mystery. Not all of us will die, but we will all be changed. ⁵² It will happen in an instant, in a split second at the sound of the last trumpet. Indeed, that trumpet will sound, and then the dead will come back to life. They will be changed so that they can live forever. ⁵³ This body that decays must be changed into a body that cannot decay. This mortal body must be changed into a body that will live forever. ⁵⁴ When this body that decays is changed into a body that cannot decay, and this mortal body is changed into a body that will live forever, then the teaching of Scripture will come true:

“Death is turned into victory!
 

⁵⁵ Death, where is your victory?
    Death, where is your sting?”

⁵⁶ Sin gives death its sting, and God’s standards give sin its power. ⁵⁷ Thank God that he gives us the victory through our Lord Yeshua Christ.

⁵⁸ So, then, brothers and sisters, don’t let anyone move you off the foundation of your faith. Always excel in the work you do for the Lord. You know that the hard work you do for the Lord is not pointless.

Послушайте, я открою вам тайну: мы не все умрем, но все будем изменены, ⁵² внезапно, во мгновение ока, когда прозвучит последняя труба. По сигналу трубы мертвые воскреснут нетленными, а мы будем изменены. ⁵³ Все тленное должно превратиться в нетленное, и все смертное – в бессмертное. ⁵⁴ Когда тленное облечется в нетленное и смертное – в бессмертное, тогда исполнятся слова: «Смерть поглощена победой!»^[a]

⁵⁵ «О смерть, где твоя победа?
    О смерть, где твое жало?»^[b]

⁵⁶ Жало смерти – грех, а сила греха – Закон. ⁵⁷ Но благодарение Богу! Он дает нам победу через нашего Господа Иисуса Христа!

⁵⁸ Поэтому, мои любимые братья, стойте твердо. Ничто не должно вас поколебать. Всегда отдавайте себя полностью на служение Господу и знайте, что ваш труд для Господа не напрасен.

Luke 24:1-12 -- Names of God Bible

Jesus Comes Back to Life

24 Very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb. They were carrying the spices that they had prepared. ² They found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb. ³ When they went in, they did not find the body of the Lord Yeshua. ⁴ While they were puzzled about this, two men in clothes that were as bright as lightning suddenly stood beside them. ⁵ The women were terrified and bowed to the ground.

The men asked the women, “Why are you looking among the dead for the living one? ⁶ He’s not here. He has been brought back to life! Remember what he told you while he was still in Galilee. ⁷ He said, ‘The Son of Man must be handed over to sinful people, be crucified, and come back to life on the third day.’” ⁸ Then the women remembered what Yeshua had told them.

⁹ The women left the tomb and went back to the city. They told everything to the eleven apostles and all the others. ¹⁰ The women were Mary from Magdala, Joanna, and Mary (the mother of James). There were also other women with them. They told the apostles everything.

¹¹ The apostles thought that the women’s story didn’t make any sense, and they didn’t believe them.

¹² But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. He bent down to look inside and saw only the strips of linen. Then he went away, wondering what had happened.

24 Рано утром в первый день недели^[a], женщины, взяв приготовленные душистые мази, пришли к гробнице. ² Здесь они обнаружили, что камень от входа в пещеру отвален. ³ Войдя внутрь, они не нашли тела Господа Иисуса. ⁴ Стоя в недоумении, они увидели, что рядом с ними вдруг появились два человека^[b] в сияющих одеждах. ⁵ В испуге женщины опустили свои лица к земле, но те сказали им:

– Что вы ищете живого среди мертвых? ⁶ Его здесь нет, Он воскрес! Вспомните, что Он говорил вам еще в Галилее: ⁷ «Сын Человеческий должен быть предан в руки грешников, распят, и на третий день воскреснуть».

⁸ Тогда они вспомнили слова Иисуса ⁹ и, вернувшись от гробницы, рассказали обо всем одиннадцати и всем остальным. ¹⁰ Среди тех, кто рассказал это апостолам, были Мария Магдалина, Иоанна, Мария – мать Иакова и другие женщины. ¹¹ Но они не поверили рассказу женщин, им казалось, что это лишь пустые слова. ¹² Петр, однако же, побежал к гробнице. Он наклонился, заглянул внутрь и увидел только льняные полотна. Он вернулся к себе, удивляясь всему случившемуся.
