Psalm 63 -- The Voice
A song of David while in the wilderness of Judah.
1 O True
God, You are my God, the One whom I trust.
I seek You with every fiber of my being.
In this dry and weary land with no water in sight,
my soul is dry and longs for You.
My body aches for You, for Your presence.
2 I have seen You in Your sanctuary
and have been awed by Your power and glory.
3 Your steadfast love is better than life itself,
so my lips will give You all my praise.
4 I will bless You with every breath of my life;
I will lift up my hands in praise to Your name.
4 I will bless You with every breath of my life;
I will lift up my hands in praise to Your name.
5 My soul overflows with satisfaction, as when I feast on foods rich in
marrow and fat;
with excitement in my heart and joy on my lips, I offer You praise.
6 Often at night I lie in bed and remember You,
meditating on Your greatness till morning smiles through my window.
7 You have been my constant helper;
therefore, I sing for joy under the protection of Your wings.
8 My soul clings to You;
Your right hand reaches down and holds me up.
with excitement in my heart and joy on my lips, I offer You praise.
6 Often at night I lie in bed and remember You,
meditating on Your greatness till morning smiles through my window.
7 You have been my constant helper;
therefore, I sing for joy under the protection of Your wings.
8 My soul clings to You;
Your right hand reaches down and holds me up.
9 But as for those who try to destroy my life,
they will descend into eternal shadows, deep beneath the earth.
10 They will fall by the sword,
and wild dogs will feast on their corpses.
11 But the king will find his joy in the True God;
all who make pledges and invoke His name will celebrate,
while the mindless prattle of cheaters and deceivers will be silenced.
they will descend into eternal shadows, deep beneath the earth.
10 They will fall by the sword,
and wild dogs will feast on their corpses.
11 But the king will find his joy in the True God;
all who make pledges and invoke His name will celebrate,
while the mindless prattle of cheaters and deceivers will be silenced.

возрадуюсь;
сойдут в преисподнюю земли;

Psalm 98 -- The Voice
A song.
1 Compose a new song, and sing it to the Eternal
because of the unbelievable things He has done;
He has won the victory
with the skill of His right hand and strength of His holy arm.
2 The Eternal has made it clear that He saves,
and He has shown the nations that He does what is right.
3 He has been true to His promises;
fresh in His mind is His unfailing love
for all of Israel.
Even the ends of the earth have witnessed how our God saves.
because of the unbelievable things He has done;
He has won the victory
with the skill of His right hand and strength of His holy arm.
2 The Eternal has made it clear that He saves,
and He has shown the nations that He does what is right.
3 He has been true to His promises;
fresh in His mind is His unfailing love
for all of Israel.
Even the ends of the earth have witnessed how our God saves.
This
hymn invites all the people on earth and creation itself to join in singing a
new song of “beautiful noise” celebrating God’s justice and victories.
4 Raise
your voices; make a beautiful noise to the Eternal, all the earth.
Let your joy explode into song and praise;
5 Make music to the Eternal with the harp;
sing a beautiful melody with the harp and chorus.
6 With trumpets and horns,
fill the air with joyful sounds to the King, the Eternal.
Let your joy explode into song and praise;
5 Make music to the Eternal with the harp;
sing a beautiful melody with the harp and chorus.
6 With trumpets and horns,
fill the air with joyful sounds to the King, the Eternal.
7 Let the sea rumble and roar, and all the creatures it
holds shout praise;
let the whole world and all those who live in it join the celebration.
8 Let the rivers applaud
and the mountains join in joyful song
9 In the presence of the Eternal because He is coming
to judge the earth.
He is coming,
and His judgment will be what is right for the world
and just to all people.
let the whole world and all those who live in it join the celebration.
8 Let the rivers applaud
and the mountains join in joyful song
9 In the presence of the Eternal because He is coming
to judge the earth.
He is coming,
and His judgment will be what is right for the world
and just to all people.

4 (97-4) Восклицайте Господу, вся земля;
торжествуйте, веселитесь и пойте;
гласом псалмопения;
и живущие в ней;

Psalm 103 -- The Voice
A song of David.
1 O my
soul, come, praise the Eternal
with all that is in me—body, emotions, mind, and will—every part of who I am—
praise His holy name.
2 O my soul, come, praise the Eternal;
sing a song from a grateful heart;
sing and never forget all the good He has done.
3 Despite all your many offenses, He forgives and releases you.
More than any doctor, He heals your diseases.
4 He reaches deep into the pit to deliver you from death.
He crowns you with unfailing love and compassion like a king.
5 When your soul is famished and withering,
He fills you with good and beautiful things, satisfying you as long as you live.
He makes you strong like an eagle, restoring your youth.
with all that is in me—body, emotions, mind, and will—every part of who I am—
praise His holy name.
2 O my soul, come, praise the Eternal;
sing a song from a grateful heart;
sing and never forget all the good He has done.
6 When people are crushed, wronged, enslaved, raped, murdered,
the Eternal is just;
He makes the wrongs right.
7 He showed Moses His ways;
He allowed His people Israel to see His wonders and acts of power.
8 The Eternal is compassionate and merciful.
When we cross all the lines, He is patient with us.
When we struggle against Him, He lovingly stays with us—changing, convicting, prodding;
9 He will not constantly criticize,
nor will He hold a grudge forever.
10 Thankfully, God does not punish us for our sins and depravity as we deserve.
In His mercy, He tempers justice with peace.
11 Measure how high heaven is above the earth;
God’s wide, loving, kind heart is greater for those who revere Him.
12 You see, God takes all our crimes—our seemingly inexhaustible sins—and removes them.
As far as east is from the west, He removes them from us.
13 An earthly father expresses love for his children;
it is no different with our heavenly Father;
The Eternal shows His love for those who revere Him.
14 For He knows what we are made of;
He knows our frame is frail, and He remembers we came from dust.
the Eternal is just;
He makes the wrongs right.
7 He showed Moses His ways;
He allowed His people Israel to see His wonders and acts of power.
8 The Eternal is compassionate and merciful.
When we cross all the lines, He is patient with us.
When we struggle against Him, He lovingly stays with us—changing, convicting, prodding;

it is no different with our heavenly Father;
The Eternal shows His love for those who revere Him.
14 For He knows what we are made of;
He knows our frame is frail, and He remembers we came from dust.
15 The children of Adam are like grass;
their days are few;
they flourish for a time like flowers in a meadow.
16 As the wind blows over the field and the bloom is gone,
it doesn’t take much to blow us out of the memory of that place.
17 But the unfailing love of the Eternal is always and eternal
for those who reverently run after Him.
He extends His justice on and on to future generations,
18 To those who will keep His bond of love
and remember to walk in the guidance of His commands.
their days are few;
they flourish for a time like flowers in a meadow.
16 As the wind blows over the field and the bloom is gone,

18 To those who will keep His bond of love
and remember to walk in the guidance of His commands.
19 The Eternal has established His throne up in the heavens.
He rules over every seen and unseen realm and creature.
20 Adore Him! Give Him praise, you heavenly messengers,
you powerful creatures who listen to
and act on His every word.
21 Give praise to the Eternal, all armies of heaven—
you servants who stand ready to do His will.
22 Give praise to the Eternal, all that He has made
in all corners of His creation.
O my soul, come, praise the Eternal!
He rules over every seen and unseen realm and creature.
20 Adore Him! Give Him praise, you heavenly messengers,
you powerful creatures who listen to
and act on His every word.
21 Give praise to the Eternal, all armies of heaven—

in all corners of His creation.
O my soul, come, praise the Eternal!

3 (102-3) Он прощает все беззакония твои, исцеляет все недуги твои;
4 (102-4) избавляет от могилы жизнь твою, венчает тебя милостью и щедротами;
11 (102-11) ибо как высоко небо над землею, так велика милость [Господа] к боящимся Его;
12 (102-12) как далеко восток от запада, так удалил Он от нас беззакония наши;
20 (102-20) Благословите Господа, [все] Ангелы Его, крепкие силою, исполняющие слово Его, повинуясь гласу слова Его;
21 (102-21) благословите Господа, все воинства Его, служители Его, исполняющие волю Его;

Daniel 9:3-10 -- The Voice
Darius is a title and may refer to Cyrus
about 539 b.c. or Artaxerxes I (Ahasuerus’ son) in 465 b.c.
3 After
learning this, I turned to the Lord God, praying diligently, begging for His
mercy, grieving and fasting in sackcloth and ashes. 4 I prayed to the Eternal One my God, praising
His greatness and confessing our sins: Lord God, You are great and
awesome! You are always faithful to the covenant You made with us. Your
unfailing love extends to all who love You and keep Your commandments. 5 But we have sinned and wronged You. We have
acted wickedly in our rebellion, going so far as to disregard Your commandments
and regulations. 6 We have
ignored the message given through Your servants, the prophets, who spoke
on Your behalf to our kings, princes, ancestors, indeed every last person of
the land. 7 O Lord, You always
do what is right. It is Your due, but we deserve nothing this day but public
and open shame. The people of Judah, Jerusalem—indeed of all Israel, those
who are in neighboring regions and those who are in the farthest reaches,
driven into exile by You for all the treacherous acts they committed against
You—we all deserve nothing but shame. 8 Eternal One, public and open shame is our
due, for we have sinned against You, all of us, our kings, princes, and
ancestors. 9 But You, O Lord our
God, still show us compassion and forgiveness even though we have openly
rebelled against You. 10 We have
not obeyed the voice of the Eternal our God, for we have failed to live by the
teachings You gave us directly through Your servants, the prophets.

Hebrews 2:10-18 -- The Voice
Here is God’s Son: Creator, Sustainer, Great
High Priest. Jesus has to take on our feeble flesh and suffer a violent death.
He suffers for what we need.
10 It only
makes sense that God, by whom and for whom everything exists, would choose to
bring many of us to His side by using suffering to perfect Jesus, the
founder of our faith, the pioneer of our salvation. 11 As I will show you, it’s important that
the One who brings us to God and those who are brought to God become one, since
we are all from one Father. This is why Jesus was not ashamed to call us
His family, 12 saying, in the
words of the psalmist,
I will speak Your Name to My brothers and
sisters
when I praise You in the midst of the community.[a]
when I praise You in the midst of the community.[a]
13 And in the words of Isaiah,
I will wait for the Eternal One.[b]
And again,
Look, here I am with the children God has
given Me.[c]
14 Since we, the children, are all creatures of flesh and blood, Jesus took
on flesh and blood, so that by dying He could destroy the one who held power
over death—the devil— 15 and destroy the fear of death
that has always held people captive.
16 So
notice—His concern here is not for the welfare of the heavenly messengers, but
for the children of Abraham. 17 He
had to become as human as His sisters and brothers so that when the time
came, He could become a merciful and faithful high priest of God, called to
reconcile a sinful people. 18 Since
He has also been tested by suffering, He can help us when we are tested.Footnotes:
