Psalm 103 – The Amplified Bible

[A Psalm] of David.

¹ Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name!

² Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits—

³ Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases,

⁴ Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;

⁵ Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]!

⁶ The Lord executes righteousness and justice [not for me only, but] for all who are oppressed.

⁷ He made known His ways [of righteousness and justice] to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.

⁸ The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy and loving-kindness.

⁹ He will not always chide or be contending, neither will He keep His anger forever or hold a grudge.

¹⁰ He has not dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

¹¹ For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great are His mercy and loving-kindness toward those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him.

¹² As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

¹³ As a father loves and pities his children, so the Lord loves and pities those who fear Him [with reverence, worship, and awe].

¹⁴ For He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on His heart] that we are dust.

¹⁵ As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

¹⁶ For the wind passes over it and it is gone, and its place shall know it no more.

¹⁷ But the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting upon those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, and His righteousness is to children’s children—

¹⁸ To such as keep His covenant [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it] and to those who [earnestly] remember His commandments to do them [imprinting them on their hearts].

¹⁹ The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.

²⁰ Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word.

²¹ Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, all you His hosts, you His ministers who do His pleasure.

²² Bless the Lord, all His works in all places of His dominion; bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul!

    Облака делаешь Своей колесницей,
ходишь на крыльях ветра.
⁴ Ты делаешь ангелов Твоих ветрами^[b],
    и слуг Твоих языками пламени.

⁵ Землю Ты утвердил на ее основании,
    чтобы никогда не пошатнулась.
⁶ Бездною, как одеянием, покрыл ее,
    воды стояли выше гор.
⁷ Но отступили воды от окрика Твоего,
    при звуке Твоего грома они поспешили прочь.
 

⁸ На горы поднялись,
    а после спустились в долины,

⁹ Ты поставил им предел, который не смогут перейти,

    и зелень на пользу человека,

    и масло, от которого светится лицо его,
    и хлеб, укрепляющий его сердце.

¹⁸ Высокие горы – убежище для диких козлов,

²⁰ Ты простираешь тьму – и наступает ночь,

²¹ Молодые львы рычат о добыче

²³ Выходит человек на свою работу,
    и трудится до вечера.

²⁴ Господи, как многочисленны Твои дела!
    По Своей мудрости Ты все сотворил;
    земля полна Твоих созданий.
 

²⁵ Вот, море, богатое и пространное,
    в котором нет числа пресмыкающимся,
    животным малым и большим.
 

²⁶ В нем плавают корабли,
    там Левиафан^[e], которого Ты сотворил играть в нем.

²⁷ Все они ожидают от Тебя,
    чтобы Ты дал им вовремя их пищу.
²⁸ Ты даешь им – они принимают,
    открываешь Свою руку – насыщаются.
 

²⁹ Если скрываешь Свое лицо,
    они в смятении.
Когда отнимешь их дыхание^[f],
    умирают они и возвращаются в прах.
 

³⁰ Пошлешь Свой дух^[g],
    и они сотворены,
и Ты обновляешь лицо земли.

³¹ Да будет слава Господня вовеки;
    да возрадуется Господь Своим делам!
 

³² Он смотрит на землю, и трепещет она,
    прикасается к холмам, и дымятся они.

³³ Буду петь Господу, пока я жив;
    воспою хвалу моему Богу, пока существую.
 

³⁴ Да будет приятно Ему размышление мое,
    буду радоваться о Господе.
 

³⁵ Пусть исчезнут грешники с лица земли,
    и не будет больше беззаконных.

When Israel came forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language,

² Judah became [God’s] sanctuary (the Holy Place of His habitation), and Israel His dominion.

³ The [Red] Sea looked and fled; the Jordan [River] was turned back.

⁴ The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs.

⁵ What ails you, O [Red] Sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back?

⁶ You mountains, that you skip like rams, and you little hills, like lambs?

⁷ Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

⁸ Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to Your name give glory, for Your mercy and loving-kindness and for the sake of Your truth and faithfulness!

² Why should the nations say, Where is now their God?

³ But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.

⁴ The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

⁵ They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

⁶ They have ears, but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not;

⁷ They have hands, but they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither can they make a sound with their throats.

⁸ They who make idols are like them; so are all who trust in and lean on them.

⁹ O Israel, trust and take refuge in the Lord! [Lean on, rely on, and be confident in Him!] He is their Help and their Shield.

¹⁰ O house of Aaron [the priesthood], trust in and lean on the Lord! He is their Help and their Shield.

¹¹ You who [reverently] fear the Lord, trust in and lean on the Lord! He is their Help and their Shield.

¹² The Lord has been mindful of us, He will bless us: He will bless the house of Israel, He will bless the house of Aaron [the priesthood],

¹³ He will bless those who reverently and worshipfully fear the Lord, both small and great.

¹⁴ May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children.

¹⁵ May you be blessed of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth!

¹⁶ The heavens are the Lord’s heavens, but the earth has He given to the children of men.

¹⁷ The dead praise not the Lord, neither any who go down into silence.

All the commandments which I command you this day you shall be watchful to do, that you may live and multiply and go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to give to your fathers.

² And you shall [earnestly] remember all the way which the Lord your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and to prove you, to know what was in your [mind and] heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

³ And He humbled you and allowed you to hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you recognize and personally know that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.

Colossians 1:1-14 – The Amplified Bible

Paul, an apostle (special messenger) of Christ Jesus (the Messiah), by the will of God, and Timothy [our] brother,

To the saints (the consecrated people of God) and ^[a]believing and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae: Grace (spiritual favor and blessing) to you and [heart] peace from God our Father.

³ We ^[b]continually give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), as we are praying for you,

⁴ For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus [^[c]the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness] and of the love which you [have and show] for all the saints (God’s consecrated ones),

⁵ Because of the hope [of experiencing what is] laid up (^[d]reserved and waiting) for you in heaven. Of this [hope] you heard in the past in the message of the truth of the Gospel,

⁶ Which has come to you. Indeed, in the whole world [that Gospel] is bearing fruit and still is growing ^[e][by its own inherent power], even as it has done among yourselves ever since the day you first heard and came to know and understand the grace of God in truth. ⁷ You so learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ in our stead and as our representative and ^[f]yours.

⁸ Also he has informed us of your love in the [Holy] Spirit.

⁹ For this reason we also, from the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [^[g]special] request for you, [asking] that you may be filled with the ^[h]full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [^[i]in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things—

¹⁰ That you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and ^[j]desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, ^[k]acquaintance, and recognition].

¹¹ [We pray] that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy,

¹² Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the ^[l]portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light.

¹³ [The Father] has delivered and ^[m]drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son ^[n]of His love,

¹⁴ In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.

John 6:30-33, 48-51 – The Amplified Bible

Therefore they said to Him, What sign (miracle, wonderwork) will ^[a]You perform then, so that we may see it and believe and rely on and adhere to You? What [supernatural] work have You [to show what You can do]?

³¹ Our forefathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as the Scripture says, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.

³² Jesus then said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Moses did not give you the Bread from heaven [what Moses gave you was not the Bread from heaven], but it is My Father Who gives you the true heavenly Bread.

³³ For the Bread of God is He Who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.

³⁴ Then they said to Him, Lord, give us this bread always (all the time)!

³⁵ Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more (at any time).

³⁶ But [as] I told you, although you have seen Me, still you do not believe and trust and have faith.

³⁷ All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me].

³⁸ For I have come down from heaven not to do My own will and purpose but to do the will and purpose of Him Who sent Me.

³⁹ And this is the will of Him Who sent Me, that I should not lose any of all that He has given Me, but that I should give new life and raise [them all] up at the last day.

⁴⁰ For this is My Father’s will and His purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day.

⁴¹ Now the Jews murmured and found fault with and grumbled about Jesus because He said, I am [Myself] the Bread that came down from heaven.

⁴² They kept asking, Is not this Jesus, the ^[b]Son of Joseph, Whose father and mother we know? How then can He say, I have come down from heaven?

⁴³ So Jesus answered them, Stop grumbling and saying things against Me to one another.

 ⁴⁴ No one is able to come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me, and [then] I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day.

⁴⁵ It is written in [the book of] the Prophets, And they shall all be taught of God [have Him in person for their Teacher]. Everyone who has listened to and learned from the Father comes to Me—

⁴⁶ Which does not imply that anyone has seen the Father [not that anyone has ever seen Him] except He [Who was with the Father] Who comes from God; He [alone] has seen the Father.

⁴⁷ I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, he who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, relies on, and has faith in Me] has (now possesses) eternal life.

⁴⁸ I am the Bread of Life [that gives life—the Living Bread].

⁴⁹ Your forefathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and [yet] they died.

⁵⁰ [But] this is the Bread that comes down from heaven, so that [any]one may eat of it and never die.

⁵¹ I [Myself] am this Living Bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever; and also the Bread that I shall give for the life of the world is My flesh (body).

Кто приходит ко Мне, тот никогда не останется голодным, и кто верит Мне, тот не будет испытывать жажды. ³⁶ Но как Я уже говорил вам, вы видели Меня и все равно не верите. ³⁷ Все, кого Отец дал Мне, непременно придут ко Мне, и кто придет ко Мне, того Я никогда не прогоню. ³⁸ Ведь Я пришел с небес не для того, чтобы делать то, что Сам хочу, но чтобы исполнять волю Того, Кто послал Меня.

– Разве Он не Иисус, сын Иосифа? Мы же знаем и отца Его, и мать! Как Он может говорить: «Я пришел с небес»?

⁴³ Иисус сказал:

– Не возмущайтесь. ⁴⁴ Никто не может прийти ко Мне, если Отец, Который послал Меня, не привлечет его, и Я воскрешу его в последний День. ⁴⁵ У пророков записано: «Они будут все научены Богом»^[c]. Каждый, кто слушает Отца и учится у Него, приходит ко Мне. ⁴⁶ Но никто не видел Отца, кроме Пришедшего от Бога, только Он видел Отца. ⁴⁷ Говорю вам истину: тот, кто верит в Меня, имеет жизнь вечную. ⁴⁸ Я – хлеб жизни. ⁴⁹ Ваши праотцы ели манну в пустыне и все же умерли. ⁵⁰ Но этот хлеб, сходящий с небес, таков, что человек, который ест его, не умрет. ⁵¹ Я – живой хлеб, пришедший с небес.
